DC Comic Book News [Potential Spoilers]

Yeah, I’m already planning on buying the swimsuit covers I want already, so I don’t really want a reprint, and the reprint story and “new story” don’t sound interesting at all.

Plus I bet they’re not including the Robins Workout Covers!

What, you’re not interested in seeing Penguin in “the tightest bathing trunks you can imagine”?

That’s an insane cover or page… wow

No. No I am not.

There is officially a DC character named “Sir Morbid”.

Awkward Hail Caesar GIF

Movie gif. Will Ferrell in a grocery store hearing good news and getting over-excited. He cheers and enthusiastically begins punching cereal boxes and ends his outburst with a swift kick at low shelf in the aisle. Text, "Awesome! Yes!"

It reminds me of the Marvel and Image (including WildStorm) swimsuit books from the '90s, which were “Pretty, pretty, pret-tay good.”

I’ll read The New Hotness on Ultra. It’ll give me a nice concluding point for the summer, while also being something fall can nicely crest in by.

In the meanwhile, I’m forever jealous that Kon gets to chillax between Karen/Paige and Kara. What a lucky duck he is!

Looks like after Knight Terrors is Gotham War, and the event about Amanda Waller trying very hard to kill all vigilantes seems to be continuing in individual titles (Green Arrow, Titans). Not sure if Helena Wayne will be involved. More batman events can be expected since most profits is thanks to batman and the batman family. Since about half of the titles are batman related, any batman event is a dc event. Can probably have many batman events from batman’s many girlfriends like team selina vs team talia.

Not passing judgment until…

  • A. Gotham War is in fact confirmed.

  • B. Should Gotham War in fact be real, the titles and creative teams for it are announced.

That said, I see “Gotham War” and this is my inner-Catwoman’s reaction:

:facepalm_catwoman:

Again, not passing any kind of judgment because who knows? Maybe Gotham War will be awesome (I loved the Arkham War tie-in for Forever Evil, after all), but another Batman-based war so relatively soon after Joker War?

Eh. I’ll hope for the best of course, but on the name alone, I’m not terribly interested.

Gotham War is already confirmed and I just did not bother to link to the news sites. I am too lazy to do links.

Being its Friday and the end of the work week, I am definitely too lazy to look it up for myself.

After batman and catwoman kiss and make up, it will probably just lead into a Talia event.

Hmm…a Talia-centric event could be fun.

The old Talia related event about Leviathan seems to have evaporated.

Gotham War didn’t ring any bells, so I looked it up. Found this:

It is indeed another all out in Gotham thing, this time between Bruce & Selina.

I agree with @Vroom, my first reaction is “sigh, another one of those”. I’m also not a big fan of the Batman Catwoman romance. However, I do like what Zdarsky has done so far, so I will be setting my own preconceptions to the side.

Same. He’s the best thing to happen to Batman (as in the monthly series) in a long, long time.

Here’s the official press release from DC for Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War:

Sounds more interesting that I thought it would, but its still most definitely an Ultra read for me.

@TheWifeOfJasonTodd Red Hood’s got a mini that will tie into the main story.
