you know, it’s been a few years since I’ve watched that movie but it that does make sense
I mean… Maverick is basically Hal without the ring, so I agree 100%! It’s funny that he’s a test pilot in the sequel before training a new class and that his love interest shares quite a few parallels with Carol.
