Several titles are being republished in DC’s black label printing such as Kingdom Come, Justice League: A New Frontier, All-Star Superman and Batman Year One. I’m curious as to why the rebranding for these books? I personally do not find them very violent so I’m not quite sure how they’d fit in that lineup, especially after issue 1 of Batman: Damned lol.
I think the idea for black label is mature audiences, yes, but also their “premiere” content as well? The idea being that this content is just a little extra special in some way.

They’re saying it’s not in continuity but gee what is in continuity with DC frankly we have a reboot about every two years.
