I remember seeing this at the movie theater.
Ah, Arthur Reeves – a character from the O’Neil/Adams run of Batman, though he’s a lot more seemingly cool here. He’s a bit of a running gag in the comics.

I was a kid when it came out so I didn’t really get to see it in the theater. I did play the video tape almost every day though, along with other Batman cassettes.

Conroy gives a lot of great range in this – going from young to older effortlessly.
As I recall, this was originally intended as a made for TV pilot for the show, but WB animation was impressed enough with it to make it into a theatrical production.
This movie was also made into comic book by the people that makes The Batman Adventures.
I remember having a version of that comic that came with the movie.
