@Batwing Thanks! It’s so hard to pick a best one, as they can be so dissimilar. To be honest, the war ones do tend to be my least favorite.

@moro I would absolutely recommend giving one a shot. Probably suggest choosing your favorite genre, sci-fi, horror, crime, or war and starting from there. Or if an artist jumps out at you go for it.

@vroom Thanks for noticing! Painted that Han myself. It is part of a larger “pulp” display that has some Star Wars minis I painted. May post a pic sometime…

Everyone has different tastes. I probably just like them for the ‘40s serial aesthetic. All the ones I’ve read have been good, or if not, at least interesting. Especially the horror ones.

@Batwing They’re definitely interesting, with most of the war stories leaning more towards ‘horror of war’ themes than heroics. There’s a lot of ‘nobody wins’ stories that make them particularly fascinating for the time.
