Chromecast streaming stinks, anyone using Android TV?

I’m looking for a Android TV box so I can stream DC Universe. I have android phone and tablet and the streaming of DC Universe is horrible . So I want to get a Android TV to work around that and maybe play some games on the TV.

The Questions:

  1. anyone using a Android TV device? and which one?

  2. Will the android TV’s use any app from the google play store?

My android phone and tablet app works perfectly including streaming. I have a Roku and that works great too
