I had never seen Weekend at Bernie or Surf Ninja, but here’s a list of my favorite 1993 films, not in order…
Tombstone
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Rookie Of The Year
The Fugitive
Jurassic Park
Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm
Free Willy
Groundhog Day
Mrs. Doubtfire
In The Line Of Fire
Dennis The Menace
Rudy
Sommersby
Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
The Good Son
Grumpy Old Man
Cliffhanger
Nightmare Before Christmas
The Firm
Sleepless in Seattle
Last Action Hero
Falling Down
The Adventures Of Huck Finn
Benny & Joon
The Sandlots
Sidekicks
Shadowlands
A Man Without A Face
Tom And Jerry: The Movie
Robin Hood: Men In Tights
Gettysburg
1993 was a great year for movies, and there you have it, @Vroom.
Oh, yes. While your list is impressive and I like the vast majority of movies on it, there’s also foreign, documentary and independent releases that could be added, therefore solidifying '93 as a pretty, pretty, pret-tay darn good year for the talkies.
I haven’t opened it yet; I’m considering it as a collector’s piece. I also have the deluxe edition of the Batman animated series, still sealed in its original plastic wrap.
No index yet, but Mask of the Phantasm was number 6 on the home media sales chart. Rereleases rarely get that high (at least when new blockbusters are coming out).
