@Beagle I never thought about it that way… but that makes sense. However, Lex Luthor is also portrayed in the comics as coming from a poor family, occasionally with a drunk and abusive father.
So it depends on the version of character. Sometimes the intelligence makes money. Sometimes the money makes intelligence.
