Hello everybody, before you speed away, please give me a chance to welcome you to another Best Episode Tournament! In this tournament we’re looking at the 1990 Flash, the series sadly lasted for 1 season with 22 episodes.

Nightshade is my favorite episode. I really enjoyed that character. The plot was good, he looked really cool, and he was a black superhero… or was he? Guess you’ll have to watch it to find out! The Trickster episodes were also really fun. I love Danny Elfman’s Trickster theme!

Fun Fact: the theme was also used for CW Flash! (Check 2:46 above for comparison)

The folks behind the TV show considered themselves to be in the same universe as the Burtonverse Bat. So one reason they asked Elfman (plus he wasn’t as expensive then for soundtracks and themes!). Of course, people don’t know this so they were incessantly complaining about Gustin being robbed of a cameo in the movie when no one brought up this Flash, which had far more of a connection due to Batkeaton.

I did take a look at some of these, at least 15 minutes of each that I still had not voted on. For the ones I don’t know, I still need to watch more so I’ll try to get that accomplished before I cast any votes, even where I know I might pick one now, just to be more fair and accurate.
