It was announced yesterday that Ben is passing the cape and cowl on. Sounds like we are going to be getting a younger Batman.

I don’t have much to add to this conversation since I so few actors by name I am just kind of upset that Ben is done being Batman I like his interpretation

Maybe Ben Barnes, from the Punisher.
Affleck not being in The Batman is by no means an indication that he’s finished with the role completely, as I firmly believe we will see a continuation of Justice League at some point.
He’s 46, its over. He’s still on as a producer. This new movie comes out 3 years from now in 2021.
Ben will be better off. After BVS was critically panned, and failed to make a billion, Affleck‘s life started to fall apart. Divorced back in rehab, career stalled out. I am a fan of his, looking forward to his new Netflix movie this Summer.
@DigificWriter, you are right, he could come back for another movie. I would like to see an actor that looks similar to Ben so that it will still be able to hold with the JL movie. I think they should have gone with a Dark Knight Returns theme for the Batman movie. It would have fit Ben better.

Jon Hamm just looks like the perfect Bruce Wayne, more than anything.
Maybe they’ll go the unknown route this time. Get someone who doesn’t have other things in the hopper locked into a long term contract.
No doubt Reeves and the studio will be looking at a trilogy, so in that case they need a actor in his early thirties. You have at minimum, a three year turn around between movies.
Christian Bale was unknown to most. I knew he would be perfect from his portrayal of Patrick Bateman.
Someone in the Gal Godot and Jason Momoa mold-- an actor familiar to many, but who because a star by wearing the cape.
That may have been the problem with Affleck. He was a big star and had his own filmmaking desires while having to attend to one of the most famous fictional characters ever and all of the pressure that comes with that, at the exact same time. That’s alot to put on someone, especially an actor that wasn’t known for franchises or consecutive tentpole blockbusters.
I wanna throw Ben Barnes out there again for Batman. I thought he was great as Billy Russo on the Punisher series.

Haven’t seen him as Jigsaw yet but he looks the part for Batman
