I was more questioning the statment of Alfied’s granddaughter
Good catch on Respawn @Nobody.bladesmith . And I had the same question about Alfred’s granddaughter. AFAIK Julia does not have a child.
she has been gone for years she dose now
don’t worry he clearly isn’t right in the head that happens at least once a year like
the flu with your children a little bed rest and he’ll be fine @MatthewHecht
anyway its every bit as good as marks worlds finest comic I’m getting issue two
I hope alfred gets to stay
It could go either way, but I think that Alfrid will be fully back within the next 3 years
Julia has been appearing recently in the Joker series, sans child. And if she had adopted a child recently Alfred wouldn’t know about it given that he has been deceased.
most people don’t bring there kids to work and also I don’t think most people know she was in the joker the last thing I saw was a comic book news page saying where is she
and they get there comics for free
Honestly, with the magic stuff involved, I would be more surprised if Alfred stuck around than if he didn’t.
As to what I’d like to see… I’m torn. On the one hand, I love Alfred and hate that he was killed. On the other hand, it’s been a few years, characters have adjusted, and storylines are currently running that relate to his death. A return at this time could easily be awkward, if not handled well. Alfred is a human who had a funeral and will carried out, and now has a public memorial and foundation. I’m skeptical about a return being handled well, so I think I’m leaning toward giving Damian and Bruce closure, then having Alfred choose to save them/batfam and return to rest in peace. This would give him a more heroic send off and goodbye. Maybe Mark Waid can surprise me though…
Its comics,
Yeah, I’m not debating that. Comics can (and often do!) have well written stories. I’m not opposed to Alfred returning, I just think that writing it well would be more complicated than for other more “comics” based characters, such as those hopping around in costumes. As such, my (leaning) preference is to have the seemingly magically returned Alfred interact with loved ones, and then return to rest.
I find some of the stories involving Alfred’s death interesting, and I don’t think a return story would be as interesting to me… partly because, as mentioned, “It’s comics,” and return stories are fairly common. They can often be convoluted, repetitive, and/or boring if not done well. If an actual return is intended (fakeouts are also common in comics), then perhaps Waid can pull it off. He did write the return of Barry Allen! ;p
Doesn’t Alfred still have that clone of him from All-Star Batman? Can’t they just place his soul into the clone and we end up with an Alfred that’s younger then Bruce, wait that sounds fun.
No idea. Although that story direction wouldn’t really appeal to me, nice thinking outside the box!
alfred should have never died in the first place the writer who did it didn’t want to
and did not intend to and he loves ptsd and sad stuff and even he said it should not have happend
i just read issue one,
