Batman reading suggestions

Hey guys. So I’m a little newer to comics. (started reading a bit after New 52) I’ve been reading a lot of Batman lately and I’m wondering what arcs or story lines you would recommend for Villains that aren’t used as much. There are always Joker stories or Riddler or Bane, and so on. Are there any good stories with ones that aren’t used as much? Or even some of the ‘main’ villains but stories that get over looked?

I’ve read Scott Snyder’s run and I’m up to date on Tom King’s run. I’ve read back a bit through the big parts of Grant Morrision’s run. Any suggestions are welcome. I’m just looking for some stuff to read on here.

You might try the 1990s series Shadow of the Bat. It was essentially designed as a villain showcase.

It’s also a continuation of Alan Grant’s long run on the Batman books, which started here with the debut of the Ventriloquist and his little friend, Scarface:

Have you read Year One? One of the interesting things about it is that it doesn’t have the usual villains. Instead Batman is taking on gangsters.

@AlexanderKnox I’ll look up that series next. It sounds interesting!

@50710 I have read Year One, actually. I liked it a lot, it was a nice change of pace from the other stories I’ve read.

Aside from a short Joker appearance, Black Mirror relies on lesser-known villains and is probably the best-known story w/ Dick Grayson as Batman. Gotham by Gaslight is another good one that focuses on a fictional version of Jack the Ripper in a Victorian-era Gotham
