Aquaman: Sword Of Atlantis

I have been considering a re-read of the Sword of Atlantis era for Aquaman. I remember really liking it but that it was not well received and Artie Joe was quietly removed from existence. Does anyone else remember this series? Is is worth a re-read? I remember really liking it but am having trouble recalling too many specifics.

Side Note: Does anyone else remember the community calling SoA Aquaman “Artie Joe”. I vividly remember all of us calling him that colloquially but cant find anything online referencing this. Might have just been the old DC boards.

I surely do, as Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis was among my most-anticipated of the Post-Infinite Crisis launches, along with Justice League of America, Wonder Woman v3 and The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive.

Sure! Kurt Busiek wrote a pretty entertaining Aquaman as I recall.

Could be. I never paid attention to complaints on those boards, just skimmed for the stuff where people were actually enjoying the comics they spent their money on.
