Curious what everyone has on their “annual read” list? What are the stories you love so much you have to re-read them at least once a year? Mine are:
- The Dark Knight Returns
- Watchmen
- Green Lantern: Blackest Night

All Star Superman
Personally I re-read Scott Snyder Batman 1-17 all the time.
Hush for me
Anything illustrated by Jim Lee.
The Viking Prince: Viking Glory - one of the lost masterpieces of DC’s Post-Crisis era.
Dark Knight Returns
Preacher
Walking Dead
I don’t exactly set out to do it but I usually read The Greatest Batman Stories Ever Told at least once a year.
New Frontier
Death of Superman
Preacher, crisis, lee/kirby FFs 1-50, minus a few
Ambush Bug #1-4
Son of Ambush Bug #2-6
Batman: Endgame
Death of the Family
Identity Crisis
Flashpoint (main series)
Batman: Zero Year
Batman Beyond (Bernard Chang/Dan Jurgens 2015-2016 #1-16)
Batman Noel
All of Jim Shooter’s Legion of Super-Heroes run. Great artwork by Curt Swan, Jack Abel, and George Klein. And a collection of villains second to none: The Fatal Five, Modru, The Legion of Super-Villains, and The Dark Circle. These were the best of the Superman family books at the time.
I’m taking Blackest night also.
Doom Patrol. Silver Age & Morrison & Gerard Way is good, prefer the latter tho.
Crisis on Infinite Earths
Kingdom Come
TNTT Wolfman/Perez.
The Killing Joke.
JLA Tower Of Babel
Any JSA I can get my hands on.
Superman: Exile (my fav Superman story)
JLAvengers (just so much fun)
Batman: The Long Halloween & Dark Victory
Batman: Year 3
Son of the Demon
Year 1
And The Crow.
I know it’s not DC, but it is my favorite book ever and I read it multiple times a year.
One every 3 months, I reread Tom Kings Batman from beginning to wherever it currently is. The series is better each time I read it.
