So, I read Future State: Wonder Woman. Issue #1 had a to be continued on it, but I read issue #2 and it did not pick from that cliffhanger. Where does the conclusion of #1 happen? I am confused.

Are you talking about Darkseid fighting Superman? The beginning of the next comic starts centuries later, and then at some point in the middle of the comic it says “centuries earlier” and shows Clark and Darkseid’s fate. I agree it is kind of a confusing storytelling device, especially used between issues.
Also there is a Nubia story in there with its own cliffhanger between issues, which is completely unrelated to the Immortal Wonder Woman story about Diana.
